BRIDAL BEAUTY GUIDE
Wedding photos last forever. You want to look your best in every photo but wonder how that will be possible when you feel the need to take a hundred selfies before finding the right angle! Well, here are some guidelines for any photoshoot or impromptu selfie to get that effortless graceful look you desire.
RELAX YOUR FACE
Tension can often be visible on the forehead and lips during a stressful moment… like before you get your photo taken for example. Close your eyes or look down and let your lips fall back into place with an exhale to relax your face. Then look back to the camera and VA-Voom!!
SMILE WITH YOUR EYES
We’ve all heard of smizing. Practice in the mirror or during your next selfie to practice muscle memory on the perfect smize.
LESS ORANGE-Y MAKEUP
Although you might feel more beautiful when bronzed, the camera colours tend to go crazy when picking up orange hues. Your make up artist will make adjustments, but if you are DIY, keep this in mind.
AVOID THE DOUBLE CHIN
Elongate your neck by imagining a string pulling you up by the crown of your head. Then bring your forehead slightly forward, and your chin down half an inch. Think turtle.
SLEEK ARMS
From a standing position in a rested state in front of a mirror, touch the outside of your thighs with your fingertips, and then slide them up to your hips (making sure your elbows go back and not outward) until you can see a gap between your arm and waist. This “gap” shows off your waist of course and it also slenderize arms as they are not pressed against your side. Bonus!
POSTURE IS ALL
Push your shoulders back and stand up tall. You’re gorgeous!
LAUGH A LITTLE
Laughs can be flattering in photos, even if not naturally induced. Your photographer will capture the real laugh after the self-consciousness passes anyway.

BANISH BUMPS
Keep up with your daily skin routine during your busy schedule to keep red blotches at bay. Drink plenty of water and eat clean at least a few days before a big photoshoot.
STOP THE SWEAT
Mop up any dampness with baby powder. Its smells great and won’t stain your dress.
GET YOUR GLOW ON
Finish any tanning at least a week or two before your big day to let harsh tan lines fade into the perfect glow.
