Sarah & Rob first met in 2006 during their 2nd year of university, but they didn’t start dating until 2008 after an interesting lab experiment and becoming friends first.
Exactly 2 years before their wedding, Rob used their beloved fur baby to pop the question. A little ring box tucked into Marco’s sweater with a note saying, “Marry my Dad?” Sarah said yes immediately.
Sarah & Rob love to go hiking and travelling. They even lived in Thailand for a while. They would describe themselves as romantic, outdoorsy, and a bit goofy.
Sarah is an elementary school teacher and her super power is being organized. She’s funny, fun loving, and always caring. Her eyes absolutely light up when she sees Rob. She’s also an optimist. “She can always find the good in a bad situation,” says Rob.
Rob is a very thoughtful person. He loves baseball, debate, and anything nerdy. He evaluates all possible outcomes before diving into something new and is a quick learner, which is great as he is a Business Systems Analyst.
They both got ready at the Norwood Hotel and shared a first look as soon as possible!
The styling and colours at the St. Boniface Golf Club were sensational and sophisticated!
Their bridal party was the bomb and weathered the cold!
And relished the day with Sarah & Rob!
They kept Sarah on point all day!
And the guys kept the laughs rolling!
Sarah & Rob were so relaxed and focused on ensuring everyone was having a great time! But they did take time to enjoy the day just the two of them as well!
There were so many personal touches that made this wedding day so special! Like including his parent’s HBC blanket in both their engagement session and on their wedding day!
My favourite was instead of a traditional bouquet toss, Sarah opted to honour all the ladies by handing out a rose to all in attendance!
They also recreated a photo from their parents wedding exit!
And their first dance was a DREAM!!
Thank you both for the honour of being a part of your family for a day and the documenter of your love story! I hope the memories from your wedding day bring you much joy in the years ahead!
